I haven’t cleaned it yet so cannot review that element specifically nor do I know what is meant by the 5 star section for “thickness” but so far it toasts bread well. And I’ve always warmed pittas too which were done well. All in all a good toaster.

So far so good. Well designed and easy to clean. Gave it only 4* on cleaning because I’d like the designers to come up with something better than tiny pull out tray leaving crumbs to get everywhere but all toasters are like that. I’d have preferred the front surface to be brushed steel like the rest of it rather than polished but that’s easy to live it given there are no other drawbacks. Seems durable enough but time will tell – it’s early days yet. All in all, very happy with my purchase and great value

Spent a while looking for a smart 4 slice toaster, and so many that looked just like this, and getting extremely average reviews on consumer feedback, were around the £50-60 mark – and even more priced at £110+.In the end I thought it was worth giving this much more reasonably priced (£36 at time of purchase) model a go, and initially at least, I’m delighted.Does all the things, and looks really stylish.Yes, it’s not a Dualit – but as much as I enjoy a designer brand sometimes, it’s really hard to see what the extra £50-£170 is buying you.Will update this review if anything goes wrong, but at the moment I couldn’t be happier.
